PIONEERING COMMUNICATIONS!! Pioneer is launching a new patron e-mail service that will help us keep you better informed of things that affect the District and your irrigation service/water rights. We will begin publishing a newsletter on a quarterly basis that addresses issues of importance. The quarterly newsletter will only be distributed via e-mail, but they will be archived on our website so you can always look back at them if you want/need to. Publication schedule will be: December 1, March 1, June 1 and September 1 each year. Once we get the quarterly newsletter underway, we intend to expand our Pioneering Communications project to include things like: Water Delivery Season - we'll notify you by e-mail when we intend to start or stop irrigation water deliveries for the season. System Problems or Delivery Interruptions: we'll notify you via e-mail of issues that might affect the flow of water to your delivery point, what we are doing to cure the problem, and how long you can expect that to take. Please note that this will apply only to water flow to the delivery point. The irrigation system, ditches, pipes and other transmission facilities from the delivery point to individual properties is private and we do not control that portion of the system. Please also be aware that this portion of the notification system will primarily be for long term disturbances. In most cases where there is a temporary disturbance of a couple hours or less, we will not have enough time to get the notice out before the problem is fixed. This is intended to notify you of longer term problems. Changes in Water Delivery Policies: we'll notify you by e-mail if changes are made in any of Pioneer's policies that might affect delivery of your irrigation water. System Maintenance Notifications: we'll notify you by e-mail when we are going to be performing maintenance in your area. You'll find out in advance if we are going to be trimming trees, burning weeds, performing system repairs that might affect either delivery or perhaps even traffic flow, etc. Assessment Payment Deadlines: we'll send you an e-mail several days before the payment deadlines in December and June as a courtesy reminder if you have not already made your payment, to help insure you don't forget. We feel this is the most cost-effective and timely way to share important information with you. Please be aware that we do not intend to send an overwhelming quantity of mail, but intend to use this service to notify you of just the important things. Your address will be kept for the purpose of notifying you of important information related to the District and your irrigation service.
