The rates for 2023-2024 have been set as follows:

2023-24 O&M Assessment = $87.00 per acre

Assessment Expense = $36.00 per account

Your assessment is made up of both of these charges. To estimate your assessment, multiply the number of acres of your property by $87.00 then add $36.00.

For example, a 0.5 acre parcel would be assessed as follows:

O&M = 0.5 x $87.00 = $43.50

Assessment Exp. =      $36.00

Total assessed =         $79.50

Schedule and Rates

Pioneer bills each year in early October.  If you do not see your bill by the beginning of November, please call the office so we can make sure it gets to you on time.  You are technically being billed in arrears - the water season is over by the time you are billed for it.

Bills may be paid in full by December 20th or you may pay in halves, with half due by December 20th and the remaining half due by June 20th next year. These payment options are defined by Idaho Code.

Pioneer accepts checks, cash, money orders, and online credit card/electronic check payments. Payment may be mailed or brought to the office during normal business hours.  NOTE:  We do not have a night payment drop box, but we do have a payment drop box at the front door, accessible when the main gates are open.

Per Idaho Code, if you do not meet the payment deadlines, penalties and interest will be added to your account at the rate of:

• 2% penalty for missing December deadline.
  
• 2% penalty for missing June deadline.
  
• 1% interest per month.  If you miss June's payment, interest is added retroactively back to January on that half at 1% per month.
  

Pioneer is required to file liens on any accounts that remain delinquent in July of each year.  To release the lien, your account must be paid in full.
